All My Friends Have a Lowrider – Friday

Girls:
<Bree finishes cleaning up breakfast, turns from the sink to look at Samuel> I have to go over to Taryn’s and David’s will you come with me?
Boys:
<Samuel looks over at her> Yeah, sure. What are we doin’ at Taryn and David’s?
Girls:
<Bree smiles> Taryn called and said she got a package that I ordered delivered there because we weren’t here.
Boys:
<Samuel arches a brow> What’d you order?
Girls:
<Bree grins> Something you’ll like.
Boys:
<Samuel smiles> All right. When are we goin’?
Girls:
<Bree looks at him> Now?

Boys:
<Samuel nods> All right.
Girls:
<Bree smiles brightly at him> Let’s go then. <grabs his hand and heads for the stairs>
Boys:
<Samuel follows her out>
Girls:
<five or ten minutes later at Taryn’s and David’s, Bree leads him to one of the little used, storage sheds> She said she’d put it in here.
Boys:
<Samuel looks at her> She stuck it in a shed?
Girls:
<Bree nods> Yeah.. She didn’t want me to have to hunt her down and it was really too big to keep in the house.
Boys:
<Samuel nods> Right. So.. why not just leave it on the porch?
Girls:
<Bree smiles at him as she opens the door> Wouldn’t fit there either. <shrugs> Well it might have but it also might have messed it up gettin’ it there. <flings the door open to reveal a bunch of stacked hay bales, frowns> Damn.. Maybe it’s back here. <takes Samuel’s hand again> Come on. <almost vibrating with excitement>
Boys:
<Samuel shakes his head, goes with her> She ddn’t want you to have to go huntin’ her down so she hid it in a shed for you to hunt there. Y’all don’t make any fuckin’ sense.
Girls:
<Bree walks around the hay bales stops when the car that has been restored comes into view, looks over at Samuel> Yeah.. because it *really* wouldn’t fit anywhere else.
Boys:
<Samuel walks with her, stops when he sees the Impala, quietly> What’d you do, baby girl?
Girls:
<Bree watches him> I got your car back.
Boys:
<Samuel looks at her> How?
Girls:
<Bree quietly> I asked a friend to help.
Boys:
<Samuel shakes his head> Who?
Girls:
<Bree looks over at the car> Genja.
Boys:
<Samuel takes a breath, nods, squeezes her hand> That’s all right, then.
Girls:
<Bree smiles> What’d you think I went down there and got it myself?
Boys:
<Samuel looks at her> With you, there’s no tellin’.
Girls:
<Bree shakes her head> I thought about it. Figured you’d lose your shit and Genja said he’d take care of it.
Boys:
<Samuel nods> And I woulda. <lets her hand go and walks over to the car, runs his fingers over the fender, smiles> Guess I know how we’re gettin’ to the show tonight.
Girls:
<Bree nods, still grinning like a kid on Christmas> Yes we are.. the keys are in it. You didn’t think I’d let it go that easy did you?
Boys:
<Samuel shakes his head> Probably shoulda known better. I really didn’t think that hard about it, though. <looks the car over> I figured I’d never see it again, but I shoulda known better. <looks over at her> I was pretty sure I was never gonna see you again, either.
Boys:
<Samuel smiles> Seems like I got a woman who keeps provin’ me wrong.
Girls:
<Bree smiles> Yeah.. but I know how much this car meant to you.. there was no way once I knew where it was I wasn’t going to get it back.
Boys:
<Samuel smiles, shakes his head> Stubborn little bitch. C’mon. <smiles more broadly> Let’s go for a ride.
Girls:
<Bree laughs> Yes!
Boys:
<Samuel walks over and opens the rear doors of the building>
Boys:
<Samuel walks back over to the car> Just don’t expect to drive. <gets in the car>
Girls:
<Bree smiles> Babe.. I wouldn’t *dream* of it. <climbs in the car>
Boys:
<Samuel looks over at her, leans in and kisses her. It means a helluva lot more to me now.
Girls:
<Bree kisses him back> Baby, this car is part of who you are. <grins>
Boys:
<Samuel smiles at her> They’re gonna think the paint job’s somethin’, but just wait til they see her

bounce.
Girls:
<Bree laughs> Oh my god.. seriously.
Boys:
<Samul starts it up, puts it into gear, puts his arm around Bree and pulls out of the shed, heading toward town>
