So I’d Know Yesterday Was Over – Seth’s Other Woman, Divas in Love

Boys:
<Seth rings the service bell at the front of the warehouse>
Girls:
<Siobhan answers the door still wearing the tshirt she slept in, having obviously just crawled out of bed>
Girls:
<Siobhan smiles seeing Seth> Hey.
Boys:
<Seth looks at her> So.. I’m asleep for all of about three hours when Lia dumps ice water on me and proceeds to *not* tell me why she’s packing.
Girls:
<Siobhan opens the door wider, grabs his hand and pulls him inside, closing and locking the door behind him> Lia threw water on you… shit Seth. Tell me everything. Coffee?
Boys:
<Walks inside> Yes, please. Looks at her> Let me start at me getting home this morning.. no one was there. Lia wasn’t there and David and Taryn’s truck wasn’t there.

Girls:
<Siobhan frowns> Damn. Ren’s Party must have been epic.
Boys:
<Seth nods> Christ, Siobhan, I can barely form a coherent thought right now I’m so fucking tired but she wanted to fight and would *not* let up. <rakes a hand through his hair> Oh.. and she threw a vase at me.
Girls:
<Siobhan arches a brow> That doesn’t sound like her. At all. <heads to the kitchen area and comes back with two cups of fresh coffee, hands him one> Okay so sleep and then we’ll deal with it. Did you ever find out why she was pissed?
Boys:
<Takes the coffee, takes a sip, nods> Yeah. <looks at her> *Finally*. Apparently “someone” told her about *us*.
Girls:
<Siobhan blinks and takes a deep breath> Seth.. I didn’t tell her.
Boys:
<Seth shakes his head> Never crossed my mind, babe. *You’re* not her best friend. <takes another sip of his coffee, shakes his head> When I left, she pulled out her phone and said she was calling Saige. This was after the vase and telling me Saige would understand when she told her what was going on. Then when I kept walking because I was on my way to my car, she said she was calling Van, too. When *that* didn’t stop me, she said she was calling *you*. <looks at her> And I *know* what she was doing with that one. She was trying to get a reaction.
Girls:
<Siobhan nods> Yeah she was.
Boys:
<Seth nods> She didn’t get what she was looking for. <walks over and takes a seat on the nearest thing he can sit on, rubs his face, looks at her> She didn’t even ask me, Siobhan. Van said it so it’s true. Period, end of story.
Boys:
<Seth blinks> *Oh*! <looks at her> Don’t be surprised if she shows up looking for a job.
Girls:
<Siobhan looks at him, walks over and sits next to him, arches her brow> Are you kidding me? No way.
Boys:
<Seth nods, looks at her> The thing is.. she has *always* acted like the women I fuck on film are my girlfriends or something. Like they were all affairs. The only woman I ever fucked that *wasn’t* a job after we were married was Simone. And that was in the very beginning. Until you, *none* of my “women” was an actual relationship. They were *all* the job. She refuses to make that distinction. If she did, if I didn’t have to spend the entirety of most arguments telling her the difference yet *again*, I might be more inclined to actually listen to what she has to say.
Girls:
<Siobhan shakes her head> She puts a lot of weight on the act itself. Let me ask you something personal.
Boys:
<Seth looks at her> Ask.
Girls:
<Siobhan takes a sip of her coffee>Since the act is so … meaningful for her.. Is there anything you don’t do on Camera that you keep specifically for her?
Boys:
<Seth nods> Yeah. I don’t get dressed and leave after.
Boys:
<Seth looks at her> Wait…
Boys:
<Seth s shakes his head> Before you say anything… <looks at t her> I lied to her from the day we met about what I did. Right? But she *never* says anything about how I betrayed her and lied to her for so long. It’s like *that* never really mattered. I understand that I lied to her. I understand the magnitude of the lie. But *she* acts like *that* was nothing. It’s like she doesn’t even care about that. All she cares about is who my dick’s in. And I’m thinking that’s a little fucking backwards.
Girls:
<Siobhan looks at him> It is.. but that’s where her focus is because she sees it as cheating on her and it’s very possible that she’s forgiven you that one.
Boys:
<Seth shakes his head> That *still* doesn’t make sense. Fucking someone else is a much lesser crime, all things considered. <rakes a hand through his hair> Babe.. she called *me* self righteous. But everyone one of those fights…. <looks at her> I wish just *once* someone else could see *those* fights. The ones we always have when no one’s around.
Boys:
<Seth shakes his head> And yes, I know I’m an asshole and I *can* be self righteous, but seriously? More self righteous than miss Morally Superior?
Boys:
<Seth looks at her> And the fights we have when no one’s around are the ones where she tries to get manipulative.
Girls:
<Siobhan looks at him, smiles> I don’t know.. I mean…you’re asking the wrong person. Tries?
Boys:
<Seth nods> The very first fight we had, I walked out. <looks at her> I fucked up. I tried to talk to her about it. She gave me the cold shoulder. I went and sat on the couch and she was in the kitchen slamming shit around, walking through the room, completely ignoring me. I got *more* pissed and said fuck it and went to the bar on the corner. Simone calls me. Get your ass home and deal with your wife, she’s going to leave if you don’t and she thinks you stormed out in the middle of a fight to troll for women. *Every* epic fight we’ve had since has been pretty much the same. Hell, she did it today. She wakes me up and then proceeds to ignore me. Then when I finally leave, she starts threatening to leave.
Boys:
<Seth shakes his head> And of course, I’m always the asshole because I left.
Boys:
<Seth looks at her> I *tried* to make it right, Siobhan. That first time. She wouldn’t let me and she never has. I was wide open. I wasn’t defensive, I wasn’t in dick mode. It didn’t make a damn difference.
Girls:
<Siobhan looks at him> Okay.. so let’s start with.. wow. And you’ve been defensive ever since.. and so’s she I’m guessing. Do you want it to work with her?
Boys:
<Seth shakes his head> Right now, I’m really not in a place to make decisions.
Girls:
<Siobhan nods> Come here baby. <turns so she’s sitting sideways so he can lean against her>
Boys:
<Seth leans against her, takes a breath> And here’s the other thing.. if she *had* called you, I would’ve slapped the phone out of her hand.
Girls:
<Siobhan blinks, and wraps her arms around him> Why?
Boys:
<Seth shakes his head> Because it was pissing me off that bad. I mean, I think today she pissed me off more than she ever has.
Girls:
<Siobhan leans in and whispers close to his ear> Which may have been what she was going for. Share the wealth and all that.
Boys:
<Seth nods, quietly> She’s not in love with me, Siobhan. She *might* have been at one time, but she isn’t now. She *loves* me because I’m her husband and she’s obligated to. She keeps “trying to work it out” because her morals demand it.
Girls:
<Siobhan quietly> Someone once told me that people that are married.. go through cycles.. and being in love is one of those cycles. Are you in love with her?
Boys:
<Seth shakes his head> That’s another question I can’t answer right now. Because right now, I want to strangle the little bitch. And I’ve *never* felt that way before. Even at her bitchiest, I never called her that. Not to her face, not behind her back.
Girls:
<Siobhan nods> I understand that.. why are you do pissed off this time.. is it because she didn’t ask you, or because this time there’s some basis to her accusations, or is it because of her method of delivering the knowledge she had…Or are you pissed at Van for telling her and fucking everything up?
Boys:
<Seth looks at her> All of the above. But I’m only mildly pissed at Van. Let me ask you something. If we were married and you stayed at home and something happened like this… something where I hurt you epically…and you left me.. you had no job and just a bitch sister you could stay with.. if I was trying to give you money, would you take it? Would you leave everything you had behind.. clothes, *everything*… just because I paid for it?
Girls:
<Siobhan nods> I might.. if I were that angry.. but probably not.
Boys:
<Seth nods> Why not?
Girls:
<Siobhan smiles> Because you gave them to me and therefore they’re mine.
Girls:
<Siobhan shrugs> As far as the money goes…if I left your house and we hadn’t been together that long.. no I probably wouldn’t take the money.
Boys:
<Seth looks at her> After a year and you don’t have a job. And you think I’ve had twenty thousand affairs in between. You wouldn’t even take the money out of spite?
Girls:
<Siobhan shakes her head> Probably not.. I know where her head is on this one. I was there when I was dating this guy that was working in a shady business.
Boys:
< Seth nods> But there’s a difference between letting your boyfriend do it and expecting your husband to. <leans forward, clasping his hands between his knees, shakes his head> It doesn’t matter if we’re living in the same house. I’m her husband. Whatever she owns is *hers*, like you said, whether I paid for it or not. Her bills are *my* responsibility. *Because* I’m her husband and that’s my job. My money is *ours*. The house *I* pay for is *ours*. <looks at her> She won’t take *anything*. She wouldn’t let me deal with her bills, she wouldn’t use the bank card for *anything*. And she left everything behind that was hers *just* because I paid for it. I wasn’t trying to buy her off, Siobhan. I was just trying to take care of my wife. <looks at his hands and shakes his head again> So she packed her shit only when I was at my car.. she walked out of the house and said she was leaving. I told her it was a little difficult to make a dramatic exit when you don’t take the shit you were packing. And *she* says.. she’s not taking a *damn* thing because *I* paid for it and it was *my* money.
Boys:
<Seth looks at her> She lost her job, didn’t have *any* money at all and she was living in a shit hole with a raging cunt that all but hated her all because it was *my* money and she refused to take it.
Boys:
<Seth takes a breath> So she walks out with nothing but the clothes on her back in the middle of Solitude *because* she knows that’s the single worst thing she can do to me.
Girls:
<Siobhan looks over at him> She saw it as dirty money. And maybe because she wasn’t living with you as your wife she didn’t see it the same way you did. Which I can also understand. She wasn’t living there taking care of *you* as your wife. And this really sounds like you’re paying her for that and I don’t mean it to..but by not upholding her end of things she didn’t feel like she was your responsibility anymore. <nods> Yes.. she does and she’s doing it because she wants you to feel like she does. Hurt and angry. Have you talked to her about that…how you feel about it? I mean *really* sat down and talked?
Boys:
<Seth nods> We’ve never been able to just sit and *talk* about this kind of shit. <looks at her> And it wouldn’t matter because it’s all going to come back to the same thing. I’m *so* fucking tired of it, Siobhan. We can’t communicate. We never could. We’re just way too fucking different.
Girls:
<Siobhan looks at him> You are different. Very different. <quietly> But that doesn’t mean it can’t work.. it just means that both of you have to work harder if you want it to. She has to realize that it’s your job, and she has to forgive you for lying…because I’m betting while she’s focused on the *job* that’s not really the crux of it for her. You know. Here’s something else for you to think about.. maybe she can’t get past it because she doesn’t understand how you can have the traditional values and still work in the industry. Does that make any sense at all?
Boys:
<Seth looks at her> Let me tell you about the Lia no one actually sees. The one I live with. The one that comes out to play when we’re *not* out with other people. She doesn’t listen to *shit* I say unless it’s exactly what she wants to hear. She’s vindictive. She tries to be manipulative. And she has a driving need to punish. As sweet as she is to everyone else.. she has an equally cruel streak when she’s pissed off. Oh.. and in addition to throwing shit at me.. she also resorts to screaming. When I’ve tried to talk to her.. she shut me out. And she is *very* good at shutting people out when she wants to.
Girls:
<Siobhan nods> Because she’s not dealing with what’s *really* bothering her. She’s expending all this energy on ignoring the problem.. the real problem and keeping her head in the sand about it.. and maybe part of her is scared too. Scared that if she does deal with it she won’t be able to forgive you and get past it. It’s shitty and ugly but that kind of denial can turn even the most mild mannered into raging douches. <looks at him> It’s easy to shut people out when you can’t or won’t deal with the issues bothering you, surrounding them.
Boys:
<Seth looks at her> And in the process of not dealing with it because she’s afraid she can’t forgive me or get past it, she’s not forgiving me and getting past it and it’s just compounding the problem. Today showed me that it wouldn’t have mattered if we were fucking or not, Siobhan. And what I *really* wanted to do was hand *her* the car keys and tell her to take her ass back to D.C.
Girls:
<Siobhan nods> I can understand that…<shrugs> So get the divorce papers and send them her way.
Boys:
<Seth nods> In the meantime, I’ve got a fucking house to deal with.
Girls:
<Siobhan looks at him> Look, can you afford the house on your own?
Boys:
<Seth looks at her> Well, yeah. I just don’t know that I *want* a house. I mean, shit. What am *I* going to do with a house when I don’t even have a wife? What’s the point?
Boys:
<Seth smiles ruefully> Besides.. I bought the house for *her*.
Girls:
<Siobhan shrugs> It’s an investment. You don’t not have a wife yet.
Girls:
<Siobhan looks at him> You said she left the ranch right? I’m betting she’s with Van. Van is nothing if not level headed and he’ll tell her where she fucked up.
Boys:
<Seth shakes his head> I’ll worry about later when I get my head together. I’m not even going to *try* to get her to take the house. <looks at her> Which brings us to.. I said to her to get off her ass and get a job because the house wasn’t going to pay for itself when I’m not getting paid because my wife can’t understand the difference between my job and my love life and she *smiles* at me, okay. She fucking *smiles* at me like everything’s good and tells me to bring home an app. And I told her, fuck her, if she wants an app, she can go through the same process everyone else in the industry goes through.
Boys:
<Seth laughs> Oh yeah. And that one was good, too. She said she was leaving and good luck figuring out where she is when I wake up. <looks at her> The town is like.. a mile long. How hard could finding her be? Even *you* know where to find her.
Girls:
<Siobhan laughs> Oh my god. Seth… again trying to get a reaction from you. She could no more be a porn actress then I could be a *nun*.
Boys:
<Seth nods> Except, I didn’t do what she expected there either. She expected me to lose my shit, but instead, I actually thought it was a good fucking idea. Let her even *try* and get a job doing it because if nothing else maybe *then* she’ll realize the difference.
Girls:
<Siobhan blinks, and smiles evilly> And there it is.
Boys:
<Seth looks at her> There what is? Make her go through getting the job?
Girls:
<Siobhan nods> Absolutely. Let her go through the process See that it *really* is a job. Maybe even let her watch a movie or two being made. You know.. That all the enjoyment and shit isn’t always real.. that you have to stop mid thrust because the light isn’t hitting this or that right.
Girls:
<Siobhan looks at him> I’m guessing she doesn’t have a lot of experience watching porn either.
Boys:
<Seth nods, lays back on the couch, takes her by the arm and pulls her over him, looks at her> Here’s the thing, though.. Van can’t do it because he’ll go easy on her. Because he wants on her. *I* can’t do it because if I do, all the difficult parts, she’ll accuse me of making up just to be a dick.
Girls:
<Siobhan nods> But you can good cop, bad cop her. <smiles> OH you can totally do it.. because we’ll show her the video of you doing *mine* when she gets all uppity about you being a dick I can say oh no.. he’s actually being *nice*.
Girls:
<Siobhan smiles> And when I say mine.. I mean the one that we’ll do specifically for *this*.
Boys:
<Seth smiles, moves his hands to her ass, pulling her shirt up so he can feel the skin underneath> Speaking of videos.. I had an idea for ours.
Girls:
<Siobhan smiles> I’m listening. <shivers as he touches her skin, slips her hands under his shirt>
Boys:
<Seth looks at her, smiles again> I came up with this after we got off the phone this morning. A forced fantasy. We can film it in the loft using your space as the set. Couple of guys break in, force you to submit and leave you well used and abused.
Girls:
<Siobhan smiles> Ooh.. I like that one.
Girls:
<Siobhan smiles> It could even be filmed hidden camera style.

Boys:
<Seth raises a hand to her face, brushes her hair out of the way> I actually thought that, too. We’ll have to get on that “no list”, though. I think it should be as brutal as you can take.
Girls:
<Siobhan nods, looks at him, smiles> After last night.. I’m not sure there is one.
Boys:
<Seth smiles, quietly> With the exception of when I’m sleeping.. I haven’t been able to get you out of my head.
Boys:
<Seth looks into her eyes, still quietly> Even sitting here bitching about my wife and talking about the problems in my marriage, I can’t stop thinking about getting inside you.
Girls:
<Siobhan softly> My first thought when I woke up was of you. And how I wanted you again.
Boys:
<Seth nods, quietly> So.. you see the problem with trying to make my marriage work.
Girls:
<Siobhan nods> I do. <softly> I’d be lying if I said I wanted it to.
Boys:
<Seth smiles> I applaud your restraint in following your self-serving desires.
Boys:
<Seth shakes his head> Maybe I’m crazy, but it just seems like I *can* actually talk to you.

Girls:
<Siobhan smiles> We seem to do a pretty good job of it.
Boys:
<Seth nods, looks at her> And the sex is phenomenal. And coming from a guy that fucks porn actresses for a living, that’s saying something.
Boys:
<Seth wraps his arms around her> When Lia was leaving she told me to stay and sleep because I’d have the house all to myself, but I didn’t for two reasons. One, I fully expected her to wait til I got to sleep and dump water on me and start the fight all over again and two.. because I wanted to come here and sleep next to you.
Girls:
<Siobhan smiles> It is incredible. I didn’t want you to leave. <quietly> Truth?
Boys:
<Seth nods> Yeah.
Girls:
<Siobhan looks at him> I lay there after you left. I think I slept for half an hour and then spent the rest of the time tossing around the bed. <smiles> My bed looks like I went for a round alone. It’s wrecked.
Girls:
<Siobhan rests her head on his chest, and traces her fingernails over his skin under his shirt>
Boys:
<Seth smiles, shakes his head> I look at my marriage and the wreck that it is, all the work involved to make it what it should be.. I look at the way Lia and I fight all the time and how she gets when we do and how *I* get when we do… then I look at you and how much fucking easier it feels.
Boys:
<Seth looks at her, quietly> And that’s when I know it was a mistake.
Girls:
<Siobhan looks at him, softly> What was a mistake?
Boys:
<Seth shakes his head> Marrying her. Jumping into it like that. Not taking the time to actually get to *know* her first.
Boys:
<Seth looks at her> And I bet if someone asked her.. if she’d tell them the truth.. she’d say the same thing.
Girls:
<Siobhan quietly> She probably would. Seth, your presence smothers her. You’re so *there* even when you’re just there..she all but disappears beside you.
Boys:
<Seth nods> Believe it or not.. I know that. I’ve known I’m not good for her since that first fight.
Boys:
<Seth looks at her> I’m slowly killing her, Siobhan.
Girls:
<Siobhan softly> Then let her go. Because if you do that.. you’ll hate yourself.
Boys:
<Seth nods> And I can’t stop hurting her. I can’t stop and she can’t stop me. She doesn’t know how anymore than I do.
Girls:
<Siobhan nods> Sometimes you can’t. <quietly> I didn’t know I was hurting Ethan until Van shoved it down my throat.
Boys:
<Seth half smiles> Yeah, he’s good for that.
Boys:
<Seth looks at her> We’ve had similar discussion.
Girls:
<Siobhan watches her hand circling under his shirt> You did? That had to suck.
Boys:
<Seth shrugs> He was right. That’s the part that usually sucks.
Girls:
<Siobhan nods> I know. He usually is right.
Boys:
<Seth closes his eyes and lays his head back, moving his hand up over her back, his fingers lightly dragging over her spine as he pushes her shirt up, quietly> Did you get any sleep?
Boys:
<Seth smiles> Wait.. you already told me.
Girls:
<Siobhan shivers as his fingers move over her skin> I did.. <very softly> Sleep.. I’ll make food for us when we get up.
Boys:
<Seth nods> After we fuck, you mean. Because the only thing keeping me out of you right now is sheer exhaustion.
Girls:
<Siobhan nods> Yes after that.. <quietly> And don’t be surprised if you wake up already there.
Boys:
<Seth smiles, sighs softly> I could get used to this.
Girls:
<Siobhan whispers> I’m okay with that.
Boys:
<Seth turns his head, without opening his eyes, kisses her forehead, whispers> We should put our phones on silent mode.
Girls:
<Siobhan nods> Mine’s upstairs.
Boys:
<Seth nods, reaches in his pocket and pulls his out, hands it to her> I’ll let you answer it.

Girls:
<Siobhan smiles> All right. <takes his phone and puts it on the coffee table> If it rings I’ll get it. <softly> And you’re indisposed until you wake up.
Boys:
<Seth nods,, quietly> Right before I left she asked.. again.. if I fucked you last night and the other day. I said yes. Then as I was leaving, I told her to have fun figuring out if I was telling the truth or lying just to piss her off. <smiles> That’s when she threw the vase.
Girls:
<Siobhan smiles> Oh.. you pissed her off? <softly> So you mind fucked her. She deserved it really.
Boys:
<Seth looks at her> She was right though. I *was* avoiding the question. I didn’t want to give her the satisfaction of being right.. and I didn’t want to deny being with you either.
Girls:
<Siobhan looks at him> You didn’t want to deny it in case she actually had proof?
Boys:
<Seth holds her look, quietly> I didn’t want to deny it because…. I don’t want to hide it.
Girls:
<Siobhan blinks and looks at him, smiles> I don’t want to either.
Girls:
<Siobhan softly> You stand to lose a lot though, if you don’t.
Boys:
<Seth shakes his head> What do I stand to lose, Siobhan? A wife I’m not good for?
Girls:
<Siobhan softly> Yes. I just want you to be sure…a hundred percent.
Boys:
<Seth smiles> Convince me.
Girls:
<Siobhan smiles> I will… *after* you sleep. <shifts and unzips him, freeing his weapon, raises her eyes to his> *after* I take care of this so you can. <takes him into her mouth, lowers her head and gets to convincing>
Boys:
<Seth closes his eyes, moving a hand to the back of her head, smiles and rises to the occasion>
