In Between the Wrong and the Right – The G-Spot, Brennan Rants

Boys:
<Aiden and Samuel sit in the strip club, talking over a bottle of Jose Cuervo and a couple of Jaeger bombs>
Boys:
<David walks in with Taryn, waits a couple of seconds for his eyes to adjust to the darkness, looks around, spots Samuel and Aiden> Come on.
Girls:
<Taryn nods and keeps her eyes to the ground as she walks with David, smiles> I can’t believe I’m in a strip club.
Boys:
<David smiles, heads toward the table> You’re the hottest woman that’s ever been in here. And I’m not sayin’ that just because you’re with me.
Girls:
<Taryn looks over at David, smiles> Thanks, baby.

Boys:
<David looks over at her, smiles again> It’s true. <stops at the table and sits in an empty chair, pulling Taryn into the one next to him, their backs to the stage, looks at Samuel and Aiden> Loch, Sang, Brennan and Aubrey are headed this way.
Boys:
<Samuel and Aiden look at them when they sit down, Samuel rolls his eyes, looks at Aiden> These people are like cockroaches.
Boys:
<Aiden smiles> What are they wantin’?
Boys:
<Samuel signals the waitress to bring over another shot glass for David and a round of beers>
Girls:
<Taryn looks at Aiden and Samuel, smiles> Well Sang’s probably gonna give you the riot act about how this place objectifies women and what misogynists you are for even darkening the doorway, Loch’s coming because, well he’s Loch and a misogynist and wouldn’t miss the opportunity and Brennan and Aubrey are coming possibly to offer you guys moral support in the wake of Sang’s tirade. Oh and Sang’s pissed you dissed her for a strip club.
Boys:
<Aiden nods> All right, then. <looks at Samuel> Maybe we should cozy up to the strippers before she gets here. Give her somethin’ to *really* rant about.
Boys:
<Samuel smiles> What are you thinkin’? A couple of lap dances?
Boys:
<David laughs> You really want her to lose her shit?
Boys:
<Aiden shakes his head, slams a shot> Too much effort right now. <looks at David and Taryn> I’m guessin’ she doesn’t understand guy code.
Boys:
<David smiles> I don’t know.. but she’s so against the objectification of women that she had Loch get some fives before they leave.
Girls:
<Taryn smiles> Oh, what you don’t know is that she’s probably just gonna *give* them to the girls.
Boys:
<Aiden shakes his head> That girl’s somethin’ else. <looks at them> Look.. we didn’t come out here to objectify shit. We just came so we could talk. Can’t really do that around everyone else.
Girls:
<Taryn nods> I get that. <smiles> But it’s a strip club. <shakes her head, smiles again> And honestly I think part if it is Loch’s just grateful she’s back to that. Normalcy and all.
Boys:
<David nods> She’s been kinda.. emo.. lately. Obsessed with weddings and gettin’ her brother hooked up and off the wall shit like that. Hell, she heard you guys bailed and the bit about Saige actually closin’ her legs didn’t even register.
Boys:
<David smiles> And that’s a pretty big thing to just ignore.
Girls:
<Taryn nods> Yeah it is. I love my sister but she’s been like a 24 hour drive through since Justin died.
Boys:
<Aiden nods> Yeah. We kinda picked up on that. <smiles> That’s why we can’t figure out how Samuel didn’t manage to find a parkin’ space.
Boys:
<David smiles> Because he was lookin’ to park. With her, you gotta just keep your foot on the gas and just pass right on through.
Girls:
<Taryn shrugs, and looks at Samuel> Hell I’m surprised she didn’t nail you in the hall, honestly. <looks at David> True.
Boys:
<Samuel looks at Taryn> She wasn’t the one makin’ those decisions.
Girls:
<Taryn nods> I see.
Boys:
<Aiden nods> So.. near as we can figure.. she had her bad boy experience in the back of the Chevelle and didn’t much care about havin’ another one or she just couldn’t figure out how to get off the line.
Boys:
<David shakes his head> Here’s the thing.. in *my* experience with her.. turnin’ her down is easy as shit. Most guys just don’t want to. The night I left her, we were sittin’ on the couch and while we’re talkin’.. or she’s talkin’.. she starts with the hand on the thigh routine. She’s… <looks at Taryn> well.. kinda businesslike about the whole thing.
Boys:
<David looks at Samuel and Aiden> I mean, most girls flirt, play around, hint at shit, get your motor runnin’ first. A little bit of foreplay, yanno? Not Saige.
Boys:
<Aiden nods> Yeah. Ours was pretty goddamn direct, too. It’s not usually like that. Where we come from, even the easy girls aren’t *that* easy.
Girls:
<Taryn frowns> Maybe it’s because she’s detached from it.
Boys:
<Aiden looks at Taryn> It’s like that. But it’s more like she’s got a to do list she’s checkin’ off or somethin’. The girls where we’re from at least like to build up a little tension.
Boys:
<David looks at Taryn> She told me she had every intention of fuckin’ me that night. And you can see her kinda doin’ that in her head, yanno? “Okay, I’m gonna get him back to my place, tell him a story, then we’re just gonna fuck.”
Boys:
<David shrugs> Kinda like plannin’ special time with her vibrator. “Gonna do the dishes, watch some tv, then get my vibrator out of the drawer, take care of that then get some laundry done.”
Girls:
<Taryn quietly> I wonder if she does that with Van too. <looks at David> Oh.. ouch. <shakes her head> I mean she’s not cold like that with anything else.
Boys:
<David nods> But she’s totally like that when it comes to fuckin’ someone. You *know* it doesn’t matter who you are. Just if what’s in your pants is in workin’ order.
Boys:
<Aiden nods> Talk about objectifyin’ shit. Guys are dogs, but some guys need a little more attention than that.
Girls:
<Taryn nods> So what makes her….like that?
Girls:
<Taryn’s brow furrows> Has she always been like that or is it just since she started her fucking spree and it’s a habit now?
Boys:
<David shrugs> I don’t know.
Boys:
<Samuel looks at Taryn> What I said about how she’d never get laid if she had to put some effort into it.. that’s what I’m talkin’ about. She comes at you like she’s god’s gift and you should be killin’ yourself to get your pants off for her, she talks about how hot *she* is and how bad you should be wantin’ her, but she never gives you the vibe that she wants *you*.
Boys:
<Aiden looks at Taryn> You could say “We gonna fuck or what” and she gives you the feelin’ she’d just shrug and say “sure”.
Girls:
<Taryn frowns, obviously trying to remember something>
Boys:
<David pushes the shot glass away when the waitress sets it in front of him> I’ll pass. <points to the Cuervo> That shit makes me batshit crazy.
Boys:
<Samuel smiles> Drink your beer then. We don’t need you startin’ a brawl with the strippers.

Girls:
<Taryn smiles>
Girls:
<Taryn looks at David> Why does that sound familiar?
Boys:
<David looks at Taryn> What?
Boys:
<Aiden takes a sip of his beer> It’s like she’s tryin’ to prove she’s one of the boys. Or more guy than most guys are.
Girls:
<Taryn takes a drink of her beer> The bit about Saige shrugging? <blinks> Shit. <looks at Aiden, sits the beer down, smiles sheepishly>
Boys:
<David smiles> Because Ethan was bitchin’ about Siobhan doin’ it.
Boys:
<Aiden looks at Taryn> What?
Girls:
<Taryn nods and smiles> Right. <Taryn looks at Aiden> I just remembered what you said about water and not feelin’ my face.
Boys:
<Aiden smiles, yells to the waitress> Yo! Bring us some water.
Boys:
<Samuel takes a sip of his beer> Saige shrugs when she wants you to think she doesn’t give a fuck about somethin’. But you can tell she does, because it’s always shit that would take a hit outta her pride.
Boys:
<Samuel thinks about it> And shit she knows on some level isn’t as cool as she’s tryin’ to make it out to be.
Girls:
<Taryn smiles at Aiden> Thank you.
Boys:
<Aiden smiles at Taryn> No problem.
Girls:
<Taryn looks at Samuel> That’s one thing Saige has in spades…pride.
Boys:
<Samuel looks at Taryn> Saige is a little girl tryin’ to act grown. And I’m not bein’ shitty when I say that. You can see it in the way she acts sometimes. The way she *reacts*. Her feelin’s are a lot easier to hurt than she plays off. It just depends on who’s doin’ the hurtin’ and the time of day.
Boys:
<David nods> Sometimes, she’s more vulnerable than others. <looks at Taryn> Like when she told me she loved me. She was wide open then and if I’d said the wrong thing… <shakes his head> That woulda sucked. But the fuckin’ thing.. she comes at it like it’s a challenge.
Girls:
<Taryn looks at them> I don’t know.. maybe to her it is.
Boys:
<Aiden nods> Thing is.. she’s not gonna blow a guy’s mind with a quickie in the backseat at the ball park. <looks at Taryn> Pussy’s pussy. It doesn’t all feel the same, but…I don’t know how to explain it. I just know that a guys gotta be more involved than she gets him for it to stand out.
Girls:
<Taryn looks at David> Was it that way for you?
Boys:
<Samuel nods> And she doesn’t give a shit enough about who she’s got on her list to get him involved.
Boys:
<David looks at Taryn> What? Fuckin’ Saige?
Girls:
<Taryn nods> Yeah.
Boys:
<David shakes his head> It woulda been if I’d fucked her at the cabin. But when we finally did, it wasn’t that way because I forced *her* to get involved.
Boys:
<David looks at Taryn> I made her see me.
Girls:
<Taryn nods> Which I’m thinkin’ is something You, Van and Justin have in common.
Boys:
<David smiles> And because I made her wait til she *was* involved.. there was a lot more urgency.
Boys:
<David shakes his head> Van’s only makin’ her wait for the commitment. Not the fuckin’.
Girls:
<Taryn nods> Right.. but there’s history there.
Boys:
<David nods> And Van’s walkin’ a line between bein’ the guy we know and the guy in those videos. Who he is when the lights go off is totally different from who he is when they’re on.
Boys:
<David shrugs, takes a sip of his beer> Van’s safe. She knows how he feels about her, but she also knows that there’s always somethin’ bigger over the horizon. She’s not gonna have to settle. She gets all the warmth and security of someone who loves her and cares about her.. the safety.. along with the … <frowns> I’m not sure how to explain it.
Girls:
<Taryn nods> The rush of not knowing what’s comin’ next.
Boys:
<David nods> Exactly. Thing is.. wantin’ and needin’ that security and feelin’ like she’s safe.. she doesn’t wanna admit that.
Boys:
<David shrugs> And if you don’t get to know who you’re fuckin’ or whatever.. you don’t have to worry about how they feel or what they think.
Boys:
<David looks at her> And you don’t have to worry about needin’ *them*.
Girls:
<Taryn nods> Because she sees those things as weakness…
Boys:
<David nods> Or because she’s just plain fuckin’ scared of what can happen when you start dependin’ on someone.
Girls:
<Taryn blinks> That’s it. Look at what she’s done since Justin died… and it may be even farther back then that.
Boys:
<Samuel shakes his head> Shit, Taryn. She won’t even let her horse get close.
Girls:
<Taryn nods> I know.. and she’s been pushin’ me away for years.
Boys:
<Samuel nods, takes a sip of his beer>
Boys:
<the waitress brings over a few glasses and a pitcher of ice water before bouncing off again>
Boys:
<David looks at Taryn> Know what’s fucked up?
Girls:
<Taryn shakes her head> What’s that?
Boys:
<David shakes his head> I don’t know if it’s fucked up, but.. I *do* think she’s got more in common with Samuel than she’s comfortable with.
Boys:
<Samuel looks at David> And you can probably say that about you, too.
Girls:
<Taryn nods> Of course she does. She’s *not* … I don’t know.. like Ren and Akhiro..and I’m not talkin’ about the money. I’m talkin’ class.
Girls:
<Taryn blinks> Wait… that didn’t come out right.
Boys:
<David shakes his head> I’m not talkin’ about that. <looks at Taryn> I’m sayin’, I think she’s afraid of him. But *not* because of where he comes from and the stories he can tell. I think she’s afraid of him for a couple of other reasons. One.. I think she realizes he’s *not* like the boys she’s used to and she can’t get over on him like she can them. And two.. I think she could get close to him. I think she knows she’d have to get more involved and she’s scared of that.
Boys:
<Aiden shakes his head> She can’t control it. The situation, him. Any of it.
Girls:
<Taryn nods> It’s too big of a rush?
Boys:
<Aiden looks at them> Because you can bet your ass a lot of how she handles men has to do with control.
Boys:
<David nods> Maybe. Or maybe she realizes she’s a lot more vulnerable than she likes. Maybe she realizes a guy like him *could* walk away without lookin’ back. Maybe she’s afraid of bein’ forgotten.
Girls:
<Taryn nods> Okay.. that makes sense. <frowns> A lot of sense actually.
Boys:
<David looks at Taryn>That’s why she’s out of her league. Because she walked up on that porch and said what she said about her body and instead of givin’ her what she expected.. tellin’ her some bullshit about how hot that body is.. he responded like he’s heard it all before. Because he has.
Boys:
<Aiden nods> And suddenly, she reealizes *she’s* not special.
Girls:
<Taryn looks at Aiden, quietly> She can be forgotten.
Boys:
<Aiden nods> Exactly.
Boys:
<Samuel shakes his head> That’s stupid. <takes a sip of his beer>
Girls:
<Taryn shakes her head> No it’s not. Not when you take it back to the beginning.
Boys:
<Samuel looks at Taryn> No, darlin’. I’m sayin’, she *could* have been special. Thing is.. she doesn’t have any confidence. She just pretends to. Thing is.. she doesn’t know the first thing about me so she had no fuckin’ idea what *I* see as unforgettable. And she didn’t take the time to find out. She just figured she didn’t have it so why waste the time. <shrugs> Then again.. she’s waitin’ on her boy. Everyone else is just a pastime.
Girls:
<Taryn nods> Maybe. I don’t know and I may not be the majority.. but I kinda think no one should be *just* a pastime.
Boys:
<Samuel nods> Then we’re on the same page.
Boys:
<Aiden nods> Even the girls we just fuck with casually aren’t just somethin’ to pass the time. They’re girls we hang with on a regular basis. Girls we *know*. Girls we actually have some kinda relationship. They’re not bad boy groupies. They know *us* and they get us.
Boys:
<Aiden looks at her> And we don’t forget a damn one of ’em. They wouldn’t let us.
Girls:
<Taryn shrugs and smiles at Samuel> So maybe since you’re gonna be workin’ her horse..she’ll get to know you.
Boys:
<Samuel nods to Aiden> Which is exactly why you should bring up Silver or Heather. <looks at her> I give a fuck at this point, darlin’. She can get to know her horse.
Girls:
<Taryn looks at Samuel> Why? Because you won’t be fucking her?
Boys:
<Samuel looks at Taryn> I give a fuck about that, darlin’.
Girls:
<Taryn nods> Okay.
Boys:
<David looks at Taryn> This is gonna be interesting.
Girls:
<Taryn looks over at David and nods> Yeah it is.
Boys:
<Aiden looks at Taryn> She didn’t wanna get to know him, Tar. She just wanted to get to know his cock. Now that that’s off the table… she’s probably not even gonna bother.
Boys:
<Samuel looks at Taryn> You really think she’s gonna do what she said? I expect her to come around for the trainin’ for a few days.. maybe a week. Then I expect her to go right back to whatever the fuck she was doin’ before that didn’t involve anyone she didn’t wanna involve until *she* felt like she needed ’em. She treats people the same way she treats that horse. She remembers them when she wants somethin’ from ’em. Beyond that.. she could give a damn.
Boys:
<Loch walks in with Sang>
Girls:
<Taryn starts to say something when she sees Loch and Sang> Brace yourselves boys.
Boys:
<the boys look over, Samuel and Aiden take a sip of their beers>
Boys:
<Loch checks out the girl on the stage for a second, before heading over to the table>
Girls:
<Sangria looks up at the stage and growls softly> Places like this should be banned.
Boys:
<Loch smiles> Yes, dear.
Boys:
<Loch looks over at her> If they were banned, where would these girls work? Street corners?

Girls:
<Sangria quietly> Don’t yes dear me. And No.. as servers..as anything but that.
Boys:
<Loch shrugs> These girls are performing a public service. They keep guys like Aiden and Samuel off the streets and out of the alleys where they get shot at.
Girls:
<Sangria shakes her head> Right.
Boys:
<Loch smiles, walks up to the table, takes a set and pulls Sang down on his lap> So. What’re we drinkin’?
Boys:
<Samuel smiles, pushes David’s disregarded shot glass over to Loch> Cuervo.
Boys:
<Loch arches a brow> Ooh. The good shit.
Girls:
<Sangria looks at Aiden, smiles> You always go back on your word?
Boys:
<Aiden looks at Sang> Sorry, babe. Priorities.
Girls:
<Sangria smiles> I see how you are…dissed me to get laid.
Boys:
<Aiden smiles> No way, babe. Dissed you to get my boy laid, considerin’ I didn’t just cock block him, but might be singly responsible for what could prove to be a hell of a long dry spell.
Girls:
<Sangria looks at Aiden> So you’re sayin’ he’s not capable of gettin’ himself laid?
Boys:
<Aiden and Samuel look at each other, Samuel smiles> That what you’re sayin’?
Boys:
<Aiden shakes his head, looks at Sang> In *this* town? He’s perfectly capable every goddamn where else, but this town is like.. I don’t even know.
Girls:
<Sangria smiles> I don’t know.. I’m sure he could.
Boys:
<Aiden smiles> Yeah. I’m sure he can, too. If he can get away from your friends long enough to actually *talk* to a woman. <looks at Taryn> No offense.
Girls:
<Taryn smiles> None taken.. <looks at Samuel> I didn’t realize that’s why he was here.
Boys:
<Aiden lights a cigarette, looks at Taryn> Here as in *here* or here as in town?
Girls:
<Taryn looks at Aiden and takes a sip of her water> In town.
Boys:
<Aiden shakes his head> You know that’s not why he’s in town.
Boys:
<Samuel takes a drag off his cigarette, listening to Aiden talk>
Boys:
<Aiden smiles> Trust me. If he was just in town to get laid, he’da been gone by now.
Girls:
<Taryn nods and smiles> All right then.
Boys:
<Aiden nods, takes a sip of his beer>
Girls:
<Sangria looks at Samuel> Yeah.. so you’re here to get laid. <shakes her head, looks at Aiden> And you’re here to help. That’s sweet.
Boys:
<David smiles>
Boys:
<Aiden and Samuel look at Sang, Aiden shakes his head> Yeah. That’s it.
Girls:
<Sangria arches her brow, simmering> Pigs.
Boys:
<Loch looks at Sang?
Boys:
<Aiden looks at Sang, narrowing his eyes slightly, quietly> All right. See if this less offensive to you. We can’t talk with everyone and their brother up our asses so we’re here to do that. Better?
Boys:
<Samuel looks at Sang, quietly> The cold, hard fact is that we have more respect for the girls that work in places like this than you do.

Girls:
<Sang nods> Only slightly. <arches her brow at Samuel> You have no idea what I respect and don’t.
Boys:
<Samuel holds her look> Right back atcha.
Boys:
<Aiden shakes his head> You don’t know shit about it. <looks at her> Our best friends are strippers. And most of them are good people who only do this shit because they have to. We’ve bounced more assholes outta the strip club for *not* respectin’ them than we can count.
Boys:
<Samuel, quietly> You walk in here and see victims. We see girls doin’ what they have to to get by. We’re not the ones forcin’ them into this. We’re the ones keepin’ it from killin’ ’em.
Girls:
<Sangria looks at him> I went to school with most of these girls. <nods toward the stage> That one…got married right out of school had five kids in five years and her husband…won’t get off his ass to help her. Her real name is Samantha. She’d leave him but every time she tries he beats her up and threatens the kids. <shakes her head> The one comin’ on next is barely 18 *she’s* supportin’ her sick daddy. Her name is in fact…Candy. She lied on her app two years ago to get the job. I…we went to school with her older sister who went to college and never came home. I don’t see victims…I see women doin what they have to to survive…I just think it’s shitty that they have to do this there should be another way. <looks at Loch> And Yeah..I considered workin’ here a while back.

Boys:
<Aiden nods> Then you need to recognize we’re not here to take advantage of their shit luck. <looks at her> We’re here because we’re a lot like them. This is what we know. The only difference between us sittin’ here watchin’ them dance and your friends darin’ you to streak around the bar is these girls are on the clock and they’ve got a clue. You wanna sit here and spout feminist bullshit at us, have at it, but open your eyes, babe. Your boys don’t treat you and your girls much better. They’re every bit the pigs we are.
Girls:
<Sangria nods> I know and so do they.. I tell them regularly.
Boys:
<Aiden nods> In between droppin’ your clothes and struttin’ around the bar. <looks at her> More power to ya, babe.. but there was some shit goin’ on and bein’ said between you and your friends that’s so over the top fuckin’ misogynistic and exploitave it’s goddamn ridiculous. What makes *that* okay? Only difference I see is the amount of respect and love in that room. And there’s a lot of it, I’ll give ya that.
Girls:
<Sangria looks at Aiden> Shit.
Boys:
<Aiden smiles> Yeah. I been doin’ a lot of this tonight. <looks at Samuel> I’m thinkin’ I need to drink more and talk less before I end up shuttin’ down every pair of legs in town.
Boys:
<Samuel smiles> Get on it, then.
Boys:
<Aiden nods and slams another shot>
Girls:
<Sangria looks at Loch, sighs> Have at it.
Boys:
<Loch looks at Sang> Have at what?
Girls:
<Sang shrugs> You’ve got the fives…
Boys:
<Loch smiles> I thought we were here to talk.
Girls:
<Sangria nods> All right.
Boys:
<Aiden looks at Sang> Babe.. there’s nothin’ here hotter than you and Taryn right now. If he’s handin’ out fives to anyone, it’s gonna be the two of you.
Boys:
<Loch nods to Aiden> Exactly.
Girls:
<Sangria looks at Aiden, almost smiles> I’m not dancin for ’em.
Boys:
<Aiden smiles> Babe.. you don’t have to.
Boys:
<Samuel smiles at Sang> Lotta guys we know would pay you just to look at your ink.
Boys:
<David cracks up suddenly>
Boys:
<Loch looks at David> What the hell’s wrong with you?
Girls:
<Sangria looks at David, arches her brow>
Boys:
<David laughs again, shakes his head> Just.. this whole fuckin’ night.
Girls:
<Sangria smiles> You’ve been talkin to Jose haven’t you?
Boys:
<David shakes his head> No fuckin’ way. Hand to god. <smiles at Sang> But come on. Think about it. In one night, Saige’s legs have been forced back together.. <laughs again> And you had nothin’ but “shit” to say in your rabid defense of women everywhere. <smiles again> Oh.. and Taryn danced on a table and took off her top in front of god and everyone in *public*.
Boys:
<David smiles more broadly> All three things I *never* thought I’d see in my lifetime all happened in one night.
Girls:
<Taryn looks at David, sighs> Please don’t ever remind me of that again.
Boys:
<David laughs> Oh.. and my ex who I was pretty sure hated me has fantasies of fuckin’ me and my best friend. <smiles at Taryn> Baby.. if *you* were workin’ here.. you’d have more cash than Ren.
Girls:
<Taryn looks at David> There’s not enough in the world. <smiles> At least I *knew* most of the people in *that* room.
Boys:
<David smiles again> And not one of the people you didn’t know threw money at you.
Boys:
<Samuel smiles> Only because we didn’t have big enough bills.
Boys:
<Aiden looks at Taryn, smiles> Baby.. you were *smokin’*.
Boys:
<Samuel nods>
Girls:
<Taryn blushes> Thanks… still.. I couldn’t do what these girls to..put it out there every night.
Boys:
<Aiden nods> Which is what makes it even better when you *do* do it.
Boys:
<Aiden smiles at Taryn> That took major balls, babe.
Girls:
<Sangria smiles at Taryn> That’s partly why I have no problem doing it as much as I do. It desensitizes them.
Boys:
<Loch looks at Sang> The more you do it, the less we appreciate it.
Girls:
<Taryn smiles at Aiden, quietly> I only did it because I knew if it had been any of the others that would have been part of the dare.
Boys:
<Aiden smiles> Babe.. you’re not like the others.
Girls:
<Sangria looks at Loch and nods>
Girls:
<Taryn looks at Aiden> Still…
Girls:
<Sangria quietly> Mental note made.
Boys:
<Aiden shakes his head> There’s no “still” about it. I dig you. You’re a sweet girl and the idea was to have a good time. Not humiliate anyone.
Boys:
<Aiden smiles> Shit. Samuel wouldn’t have dared you to do somethin’ like that at all.
Girls:
<Taryn nods> And I wasn’t. <smiles> We had a good time. Which is why Sang didn’t want you guys to go.
Boys:
<Aiden smiles, looks at Sang> Yeah, well.. I let my mouth get ahead of me on that one.
Boys:
<Brennan walks in with Aubrey and heads to the table>
